Venter, who served as a defensive advisor under Boku's coach Allister Coetzee last year he wrote in the column for the Stuff website that the Boks had lost more matches in 2018 than last year while not being able to reach the goals of the Coetzee transformation made in 2017.
"The Boks under (Rassie) Erasmus scored 37 attempts and admitted 38 while the Coetzee party scored 39 attempts and allowed 32. Erasmus guaranteed a 45 percent transform rate when it set off but reached only 38 percent, worse than Coetzee who posted 40 percent, "wrote Venter.
"From a purely numerical point of view, it is undeniable that South Africa has not made progress in this year's Erasmus program, which was even worse this year.
"However, because they beat all blacks from home, the cracks were painted. Statistically, Erasmus played much worse in the first season than Coetzee did in his second season."
Venter, however, encouraged SA Rugby to maintain his belief in Erasmus and expected to improve under his leadership.
