Google paid Apple nearly $ 10 billion to continue as the default search engine

Apple Services revenues have risen substantially last year and are expected to continue in the course of 2019. However, according to the latest estimates from Goldman Sachs, one in five of the money generated by the company in 2018 comes directly from Google.

This share is converted to a number between $ 9 billion and $ 10 billion and is directly related to the Internet giant's efforts. At present, Apple is one of Google's largest acquisition channels – accounting for roughly half of all mobile revenue – and Apple keeps a considerable amount of money annually to keep these figures.

This payment will ensure that Google as the default search provider on iOS devices rather than a competing search engine. The drawback of the deal is that Apple can continue to push prices every year, and if Google sometimes refuses to pay, Cupertino can easily access a competition like Microsoft and make Bing a default search engine.

For Apple, such deals mean almost net profit, and with the continued installation of the user installation platform, iPhone giant can continue to raise its prices each year, dramatically benefiting its services.
