Diesel, Neighborhood: Which sells the cheapest and where it is most demanding – 07/12/2018



The cheapest liter of diesel comes from La Boca and Parque Patricios and the most expensive in Pompeii and Villa Soldati. This is the result of a survey by Fecoba, the Federation of Commerce and Industry of Buenos Aires, by the Pyme Ciudad Productiva Research Center (CIPBA). The work was done during the last week of November and will take the average value of super in each neighborhood.

On the individual level, CIPBA found the most expensive gasoline in the Petrobras Park of Chacabuco a cheapest in Axion Eva Perón at 4300, in Avellaneda Park.

According to the brand, The lowest price of super gas in October was the YPF state (36.76 pesos). Then were Axion and Petrobras (in the hands of Trafigura / Puma) the most expensive of which was PDV Sur (40.99 pesos), an oil company owned by the Venezuelan state-owned company PDVSA, which is undergoing a severe financial crisis in the country. Shell and Oil are also among the most expensive.

Where is it sold more?

In October, Buenos Aires petrol stations cleared 47,088 m3 of superfat. The neighbor who buys the most gas (also one of the largest) is Palermo, followed by Villa Urquiza and Caballito. YPF Libertador and Echeverria, Belgran, is the station selling the most gasoline.

On the other hand, Villa Soldati and La Boca are less expensive. And the petrol station that delivers the least gas is PDV Sur of Honorio Pueyrredon at Villa Crespo.

The city has 184 petrol stations in 43 districts. This means there are 5 neighborhoods that do not have fuel discharges.

YPF has the largest network of stations in the city, with 75 branches and presence in 36 districts. Shell is ranked second with 52 stations in 31 districts.

With regard to the dispatched volume, the ranking is maintained by YPF (48.6% of the total), Shell (27%) and Axion (19%).

According to Center data, YPF is the only company that keeps the price at each of its stations and at the same time offers the lowest price on the market.
