Intel has released new graphics drivers for Windows called Windows 10 Modern Drivers or Intel Modern Drivers a they are not the same as the old drivers we are used to, but they are a new type of universal drivers for Windows UWD.
The Universal Windows Drivers allow developers to create a single driver package to run multiple different types of devices, whether laptops, tablets or desktop computers.
This new generation of drivers will replace existing and will be optimized for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019, and are compatible with Fall Creators and with the rest of Windows 10 only for 64-bit versions of the operating system.
Better performance and support for other games
Some new features of these UWDs include things like automatic updating of game setup features, reduce RAM usage when using OpenGL, improve battery life when using DRRS on monitors that support it, improve the stability of the Vulkan driver, and new button to re-scan and detect new installed games without having to restart.
The Initial support includes 14 video games(Artifact, Farmer Simulator 2019, Fallout 4, Far Cry 5, FIFA 18, Paladins, Exile Path, Sims 4, SMITE, Borderlands 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, PUBG, Rocket League, The Witcher 3)
