NSW Prime Minister John Barilaro has opened up as he looks at the leadership challenge when dealing with cancer.
Mr Barilaro, the leader of the citizens, had a mouth chest surgery on Tuesday, but was canceled late on Monday because it was considered too risky, The Daily Telegraph reports.
"When I resolved the problem last week, some of my colleagues quickly diagnosed my cancer (none of them were health professionals) and I thought it was time to talk about a new leader:" Mr. Barilaro wrote in a commentary on the newspaper.
"The word quickly came back to me and maybe I should not be surprised, but you realize that political friendship can be shameful. At the beginning, so many people told me it was politics.
