Mail linking Clint Gutherson to "move" home to Manly is gaining momentum.
NRL 360 co-guest Paul Kent hinted on Monday night The Sea Eagles are preparing to offer their former junior talent and deal to rejoin the club in 2020.
Gutherson is off-contract and has taken the NRL market after knocking back the latest offer from the Eels, which he and his agent Sam Ayoub believe falls short of what the player is worth.

Kent says Manly is one of the rival clubs interested in securing Gutherson's services.
But that raises the question – where would the Sea Eagles fit him in?
Gutherson is the closest thing to a genuine rugby league utility as you’ll find it in the NRL. He 's probably on par with Tyrone Peaches in terms of real – life Jack of all trades.
It will be the Peachey can play and the greater range of positions, but this year Gutherson has to be the superior player.
Over the course of his seven-year NRL career Gutherson has spent a good time in four positions – fullback, wing, center, and five-eighth.

His ability to ball-play, his speed and fitness, and his toughness in defense mean he can fill any backline role with relative ease.
He 's been plying his trade as a fullback at Parramatta over the past 12 months but his path to Manly' s No.1 jersey would be blocked by a young gun Tom Trbojevic.
That leaves him a spot in the halves or outside backs.
For the money Manly would have to fork out for Gutherson – he said it was set at $ 750,000 – it was the club's plans to play him at five-eighth as Daly Cherry-Evans' halves partner.
That role is currently being split between Kane Elgey and Lachlan Croker.
Gutherson has played 20 games in the No.6 and has 13 try assists, but it is his running game that could be the biggest asset alongside Cherry-Evans game management and nous.

A starting spine of Tom Trbojevic, Clint Gutherson, Daly Cherry-Evans, and Manase Fainu or Api Koroisau would not doubt excite fans.
The other role Gutherson could fill in outside backs.
The club’s highest-paid center Dylan Walker has court case coming up and is off the contract, and he has no guarantee to be at the Sea Eagles next year.
It's an area Manly has a season with the Gutherson as a three-quarter bolster the strike power considerably.
