The Bogra-6 constituency was declared vacant because BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir did not say at the scheduled time.
Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the President of the Parliament, met this issue on Tuesday. He said that under the Constitution 90 days after Parliament's first session, Fakhrul Islam Alamgir would swear an oath. But he was unable to take an oath (because he was not sworn), his place was empty.
Mirza Fakhrul Thakurgaon and Bogra are elected in the 11th election of Jatiya Sangsad on 30 December last year. He was elected to the Bogra-6 constituency.
BNP won 6 seats in these elections. 5 MEPs have already sworn in the party's decision.
Mirza Fakhrul said that he had not taken an oath in the party's decision.
According to the Constitution, the seat of the MP will be vacated after 90 days from the date of the first session of Parliament after the election of a Member. However, before this 90-day expiration, the speaker will be able to raise it for the right.
Mirza Fakhrul did not say at this time, she did not make any request from time to time.
