You know the traditional Drive offered by supermarkets: you order online and you choose to shop a few minutes or hours later, by car, at the entrance to the store. The service that Carrefour has been offering since 2013 and which wants to diversify the channel.
Indeed, Carrefour wanted to improve its service by offering the opportunity for people without a vehicle to enjoy a ride. That is why they are now on a Walk-in Drive.
What's going on?
Walk-in Drive is a bit of a ride. "The customer orders online and then picks up his errands on foot at the pickup point." Advantage? Orders are ready upstream, in the store, the consumer has access to a large number of Carrefour references (10,000 instead of 4,500 in Carrefour Express). All for the price of a hypermarket, including promotional events. This new offer does not replace other options for the customer (especially delivery) but corresponds to the new service. It's a customer who decides when he wants to download his products, ”says a chain of stores.
The service currently available only within Carrefour Express is rue Froissart 93 1000 Brussels. “Customers who want to pick up their purchases at the first Walk-in Drive in Belgium must place their order through the carrefour.eu website or Carrefour app (App Store or Google Play) and choose Walk-in Drive.
