Next Thursday (29) men who are or will be going through the Guara Fair in the morning will have the opportunity to perform a free screening test for prostate cancer. The initiative is supported by the UBS 2 with the participation of students at the Health Sciences School (ESCS) and is part of the November Blue Moon Program, a month dedicated to raising awareness of the population. Up to 150 samples of PSA serology will be taken from 8:00 to 11:00.

Month November highlights the rise in cancer cases in the country
After the test, the results will be made available in the online system and can be accessed by experts from any basic health unit. In addition to examinations, educational materials on prostate and penis and condom can be distributed. The participants will be able to perform rapid tests of hepatitis, HIV and other diseases and blood pressure measurements.
