World Champion Lewis Hamilton has opposed the excessive extension of the Formula One calendar. In his opinion, the weight of the pilots is too great.

This season, like the others, has 21 starts. A few days ago F1 announced Vietnam's inclusion in the calendar in 2020. It is expected that the plan will be in the streets of Miami and Holland will likely return after a long break.

"I feel we are in this year's 25th race so I do not think it's positive," Hamilton told the Brazilian Grand Prix.

He added that he thought the season with 18 starts was the best choice. "I'm a man who loves racing very much, but the season is long, it's a big jump for all of us, and it's a long time we're out of our family." The season is longer and the rest is shorter, the champion added.

Hamilton said he will probably no longer compete when the 25 calendar starts.

Next year, the championship will end in December and will be the final finale since 1963.
