Before appearing on stage after 2012 Avengers, Thanos was just another supervillain, which was much more popular with comic book readers than he was with the public. He could play a significant role in some of Marvel's biggest crossover events – most notably 1991's Infinity Gauntlet – but still not so close, they are recognizable as other marvelous villains like Green Goblin, Venom or Magneto.
Of course, much has changed in recent years. After short performances in Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, a The age of Ultron, Thanos eventually entered the middle of the stage this year of the year Avengers: Endless War. Many feared the villain did not have enough time to project before the film was launched. Thank God, Never ending war has done a commendable work, not only by exploring Thanos' s origins, but turning it into one of the more layered villains of the franchise.
Mad Titan inevitably underwent significant changes from his jump to a screen page. Its origins, motifs, and balanced forces have shifted to adapt to the established universe. It was said that he still proved to be the greatest threat he had never done against avengers and guards. How did the villain fall into the rest of the world of comics? How could it happen in a DC universe where many criminals have to compete with heroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman?
Well, let's find out! There are 10 criminals who could defeat Thanos in seconds (and 10 would destroy).

20 Defeat Thanos: Doomsday
Few DC signs posed a physical threat to the Steel Man, which explains why some of his greatest enemies, such as Lex Luthor and Brainiac, rely on their super-intellect to try to defeat Superman.
This is where Doomsday entered the game: a monstrous beast created by genetic manipulation, with the source of its powers derived from the ancient Crypton. The character was introduced for the first time in the early 1990s, when Superman was over. As for the fight against Thanos, Doomsday certainly will not have a tactical advantage over the mad Titan, but his enormous power and almost indestructible quality would easily lead to victory in the mano-a-mano battle.
19 Destroyed by Thanos: Lex Luthor
It's hard to come up with one human villain who has a chance to defeat Thanos. If anyone could do that, the bad guy would be Lex Luthor. Despite the fact that he has no superstars, Lex has stood on top with some of the most powerful and intelligent creatures in his universe, including Superman and Brainiac. He is considered one of the smartest comic characters of all time, and for countless occasions he has demonstrated over the scientific world of the championship.
Of course, Thanos is not a scientific invention. He created the device far beyond the technological capabilities seen on the ground, not to mention that his eternal level would get him far from Lex Luthor's League.
18 Defeat Thanos: Darkseid
While Thanos is often considered to be a miraculous Darkseid counterpart who appeared a few years earlier in DC, we have no doubt that New God would do a short job of Mad Titan. Darkseid is probably one of the most powerful characters in the DC universe. He has long tried to destroy existence as we know it. Perhaps he never succeeds, but has a laundry list of superpowers that make him seemingly indestructible – including manipulation of matter, energy projection, and immorality.
In other words, you'll never see that she's throwing a tear or reprimand, as Mad Titan is known to be. Even with the fully assembled Gauntlet Infinity, it is hard to imagine that Darkseid will not be released in this fight.
17 Destroyed by Thanos: Joker
Joker may be the biggest villain in a comic that has ever been created, but that does not in itself mean that there should be a match for Titan. For the first time the clown prince of crime appeared Batman # 1 in 1940 and has since become an archenemy eponymous hero. What happened to Joker as opposed to many comedian darebaces is his poorly defined story of origin and lack of superhuman abilities. It's just an unpleasant man who does not have a trick on his sleeve – often, literally.
Unlike Batman, we do not think Thanos will be the victim of jittery jokes or master plans. He would also be smart enough to realize that the chaotic, self-service nature of Joker would make him an utterly worthless friend.
16 Defeat Thanos: Brainiac
The battle between Brainiac and Thanos may seem too close to calling. But without the Infinity Gauntlet, Brainie's long list of his own capabilities would probably make him a small lead over Mad Titan. Extraterrestrial android has long been one of the most terrible enemies of Superman. While his twelfth level intelligence is his greatest asset, his physical powers are not what he wonders. Often he was against a steel man.
Sure, both supervillains are some of the smartest strategists and inventors in their respective universes. With a little luck on his side, it is not hard to imagine that Thanos is emerging victorious from this battle. But if we simply considered the victory and defeat of each of them, Brainiac would come to the top.
15 Destroyed by Thanos: cheetah
Since SNL-alum Kristen Wiig was cast in the role of Gepard in the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984, there was a new passion for this classic DC villain. We have seen several incarnations of the character from which Cheetah made her debut in 1943, many of which showed very similar sets of power while facing the Amazon demigod. These include increased strength and speed, as well as increased sense of smell and vision.
In other words, he has exactly the kind of authority he would expect from the vicious name Cheetah. While she may be unpleasant to Diana Prince on Earth, she is another villain who would be frustrating when he opposed Thanos.
14 Defeat Thanos: Ares
A common opponent of Diana Prince since the 1940s, Ares has enjoyed more renown since he made his debut in a live event last year Wonderful woman. Unfortunately, the villain was one of the most critical elements of an otherwise acclaimed film, because he could not develop the character on anything really interesting until he met his demise in the hands of a heroine.
In movies and comics, Ares is a demonstration of divine abilities. His main area of expertise is to promote war all over the universe, although he is definitely no slouch alone when it comes to fighting. In addition to his strength at the Olympic level, Ares is almost an unstoppable strategy that would allow him to drill a hole even in Thanos' most air tight plans.
13 Destroyed by Thanos: Ra al al Ghul
Batman's regular opponent, Ra al Ghul turned out to be a more competent strategist and fighter than Dark Knight himself. It is thanks to its extended living conditions from Lazar's Pit, which allowed him to gain hundreds of years of training. It also made him an impressive enemy of Superman and Wonder Woman at the occasion.
Even the League of Shadows at his side, Ra's al-Ghul's mastering of martial arts had no consensus with Thanos. Depending on the character, the character is an old school dresser who prefers the traditional fight against something that could give him a technological foot. That would surely lead to his extinction in the hands of the angry Titan in moments.
12 Defeat Thanos: Mr. Mxyzptlk
Repeating opponent Superman, Mr. Mxyzptlk boasts rather a joke than a world destroyer. It does not mean that he is an impressive enemy.
The figure first appeared during the Golden Age, where it was introduced as a fifth-dimensional impulse that has seemingly unlimited control over our reality – also known as the third dimension. In other words, Mr. Mxyzptlk can do anything that happens simply to whimper without even breaking the sweat. Thanos is also capable of manipulating reality, but only when it uses the power of Infinity Stones. Even with the fully assembled Gauntlet, Thanos has far less mastery of these thinking-bending capabilities than Mr. Mxyzptlk.
11 Destroyed by Thanos: two faces
Since Batman is the most popular hero of DC, many of his enemies are among the most famous comic villains of all time. But because Bruce Wayne is just a mortal, almost all of these villains would not have a chance against Mad Titan Thanos.
The same can be said of Two-Face – who could do for a convincing opponent when facing the Dark Knight – but whose power really leaves something that is desirable. In addition to the legal level, the wrinkled coin and arsenal of firearms, Two-Face would not make much of a fight against Thanos. In fact, there is no danger that the only reason why Thanos could destroy him would be to silence the endless harassment of two faces.
10 Defeat Thanos: Lucifer Morningstar
First appear in Sandman # 4 in April 1989, Lucifer Samael Morningstar was interpreted by Diablo for DC Comics by Neil Gaiman. The Biblical figure saw various incarnations before appearing in the Vertigo print series, but none of them were as impressive or powerful as Lucifer Morningstar. The fallen angel said he was in hell 10 billion years before he was bored bored and decided to try his hand in Los Angeles, where his powers were almost all-powerful.
Lucifer was around when the universe was first created, which allowed him to manipulate matter, energy, and even time. In other words, his natural powers are what Thanos wishes to achieve in the Marvel universe, but Lucifer's immortality would give him an unbeatable advantage over Mad Titan.
9 Destroyed by Thanos: Bane
One of Batman's best preserved enemies, Bane is not the only one to fly. The DC villain also has a intellect on the level of genius, which makes him a serious double threat for anyone who goes beyond his path. Bane is probably best known for breaking Batman's back – a performance he has achieved through Venom, which has greatly increased his physical power to a superhuman level. Even without serum help, Bane proved to be in top physical fitness.
Of course, when that happens, Bane is nothing but a mortal man. Even if he could overcome and reveal the strongest Earth-bound figures, he would simply not be a rival for the half-eternal Thanos.
8 Defeat Thanos: Paralax
The common enemy of the Green Lantern Corps is Parallax a physical embodiment of the fear of DC Universe. In its natural form, Parallax is portrayed as a huge, parasitic organism – even though it is known for its ability to settle in the host and to feed itself with its fears and powers. Parallax damaged many green lanterns and triggered a trigger in space by encouraging fears in its inhabitants.
Thanos would simply have no interplay for the Parallax who controls the mind, and the struggle between the two would probably end in Parallax, which would fully control the mind and body of Mad Titan. Thanos may seem like one of the most emotional and logical villains in the MCU. In the comic, he was prone to his fair share of moods and shadows of existential fear, making it easier to catch Parallax.
7 Destroyed by Thanos: Deathstroke
Introduced as an opponent of teen titans in 1980, Deathstroke has become one of the most striking villains of recent decades. In 2013, Slade Wilson was brought to life on a small screen where she portrayed Manu Bennett at CW's Arrow. Many viewers got their first look at the character last year league of justice – the role that Joe Manganiello expects in the upcoming movies.
Just like in Deadpool, Deathstroke is a professional mercenary who has mastered every form of combat, from fight to hand to being a swordsman. Super Serum also has a regenerative healing factor as well as strong and intelligent strength. Unfortunately, none of these skills would be far in the fight against other world entities like Thanos.
6 Defeat Thanos: Eclipso
Like many comic characters, Eclipso has its origins and strengths fluctuating sharply during its time on the page. Debut in The House of Secrets # 61 in August 1963, Eclipso was originally a thief-like villain, exposing the powers of super power and some tiny mystical abilities that could easily be defeated.
However, Eclipso eventually transformed into one of DC's most intimidating opponents. It is now depicted as the incarnation of God's wrath with almost all-powerful forces, from flight to manipulation of matter. Eclipso is basically everything Thanos is trying to do, but he does not need a hunt for endless stones to perform such impressive powers. Simple and simple, the fight between the two would literally last for a few seconds.
5 Destroyed by Thanos: Harley Quinn
Despite the fact that Joker has been the basis of the Battle of the 1940s, Harley Quinn did not appear in the comic scene until the 1990s. Since then, she has made a slow transition from supervillain to antihero – probably because of the immense popularity of the character.
While Thanos could no doubt defeat Harley Quinn within seconds, it is hard to imagine a scenario in which these two personalities would get into the head. In fact, with Harley's inherent obsession with megalomaniac villains and Thanos' "mild place" for unconventional women, we think these two really earn a couple! After all, Thanos often finds that the only reason for his defeat is because of his low self-esteem, which the former psychiatrist certainly helps.
4 Defeat Thanos: Despero
With the third eye that gives him the ability to read his thoughts, Despero will be defeated by an almost illicit villain. Even with a fully assembled glove, Despero could anticipate all the movement of Thanos and give him enough time to respond and do some strategy. While Mad Titan relied heavily on the endless stones that helped him achieve his mathematical plans both on the page and on the screen, Despero also relies on the Flame of Python to improve his magical abilities.
Even without the flame, Despero managed to keep his own with some of the most intimidating DC heroes – including the Martian manhunter and Shazam. It certainly would help Thanos beat a fairly easy matter.
3 Destroyed by Thanos: Riddler
Of course, in a mano-a-mano mash-up, Thanos would destroy Riddle in seconds. Edward Nygma is, after all, a mortal. With a sufficient number of preparations, Riddler's ingenious intellect associated with his obsession with puzzles could actually succeed in replacing the key in Mad Titan's plans. At least for a moment.
He first appeared in Detective comics # 140 in October 1948, this villain's story began with a man so intrigued by complex puzzles and puzzles that he decided to take the life of a crime to try to overcome Batman. While the character has long been a hit on the page and a small screen, Riddler is due to another great screen incarnation – especially with the excess Joker films we have had in recent years.
2 Defeat Thanos: Anti-Monitor
Many of the darebars mentioned here were able to defeat Thanos only without the complete Gauntlet Infinity. At least the fight would be more balanced. However, the Anti-Monitor will be able to destroy Thanos within seconds, no matter how many tools Mad Titan has in its arsenal.
The character first debuted Crisis on endless planets # 2 in May 1985, where he was a Green Lanterns opponent. With the ability of Anti-Monitor to destroy the universe, it quickly became a threat to any hero (or villain) living in the Multiverse. Anti-Monitor is probably one of those villains who are too strong for their own good. Thanos would not even register on his radar.
1 Destroyed by Thanos: Lobo
While most comic characters see their power over time, this DC villain-inverted-antihero is predominantly in the opposite direction. After Lob's debut in 1983 Omega man # 3, the extraterrestrial mercenary had powers that equaled the power of God. While it gave him on the same character field as Superman, he apparently did not make it very interesting for the writer. As a result, Lobo's origins were later retconned, and character forces have changed since then.
While Lobo continues to compete with Thanos in his narcissism, overall Lob's powers are not on the same level as Mad Titan. However, Lob's immortality and regenerative healing factor would continue to trouble him after the fight.
