Canadian Stephen Gogolev captured male gold on Friday night at the final junior Grand Prix of Finalisto in Vancouver.

13-year-old Toronto fired a competition with a combined score of 233.58 to the top of the podium. He was the youngest skater competing in a male event.
"I can not believe I won this competition," said Gogolev after the victory of Brenda Irving.

Russian Petr Gumennik was with 218.75 winner and Koshiro Shimada of Japan rounded up on the podium with 214.38.
Gogolev was second with 78.82 points after Thursday's short program, but on Friday's free-of-charge program he gained tremendous performance. His score of 154.76 easily led him to the first.
"I tried to think about everything," Gogolev said as he concentrated on the competition. "Just think about your performance, think about your skating and it does not matter for anything else."
