CHICAGO – Canadiens has given the defense Xavier Ouellet on the Laval Rocket in AHL on Saturday.
Ouellet, 25, played 19 games with Habs this season, gaining three assists and an average of 17:01 from the ice age on a trip.
He also split in 32 hits and 30 blocked shots.
The six-year-old veteran boasts five gates and 26 points in 160 career NHL games with Detroit and Montreal.
Canadiens agreed to conclude an agreement with Ouellet on a one-year bilateral agreement on July 1.
He was selected in the second round, 48th overall from Red Wings in the 2011 NHL.
