Drinking coffee can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease: a study

According to a research done at the Canadian Research Institute, your morning cup of coffee can protect you from the development of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Scientists suggest that there could be more than a morning pain of welfare rather than an increase in energy and attention. Coffee consumption seems to have some correlation with the reduced risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. Scientists wanted to find out which compounds are included and how they can affect cognitive decline in age related age. The team decided to explore three different types of coffee skylights, dark roasted and dark brown roasted leeks.

According to the researchers, caffeinated and non-caffeinated dark roasted pecans had the same strength in initial experimental tests. So scientists watched in time that their protective effect could not be due to caffeine. They then identified a group of compounds called phenylindans that emerged as a result of the roasting process for coffee beans. Phenylindans are unique in that they are the only compound studied in a study that prevents – or rather – inhibition of both beta amyloid and tau, the two protein fragments common in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Here are other benefits of coffee that you need to know:

  1. Coffee increases your physical performance. Have a cup of black coffee about an hour before training and your performance may improve by 11-12 percent. Caffeine tends to increase the level of adrenaline in the blood and further helps to prepare for physical exertion.
  2. Caffeine in coffee can help fat cells break down body fat and use it as fuel for training.
  3. Coffee contains lots of antioxidants that act as warriors fighting and protecting against free radicals in your body.
  4. It can also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Caffeine reduces insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose tolerance, reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.
  5. Coffee helps to increase focus and mental alertness. Moderate coffee consumption can help you remain on standby.
