Former WWE JBL star reported last night a series of Tweets focused on Cody Rhodes, one of whom says he is killing a wrestler – but Layfield has apologized and admitted he had drunk too much.
If you missed it … JBL also said on Twitter that Cody is a tool not in his league and that he could defeat Rhodes every day in the match (even though he is retired).
Friday morning Layfield changed the melody. "He talked to Cody last night and said I was going to kill Cody Rhodes, of course he did not mean it literally," he wrote on Twitter. "It was a very bad choice of words, I went with him and his family back, and I just talked that I was fighting, sorry for the wrong choice of words."
By adding: "I did not want to think of Dusty's disrespect, that's what happens when I win Cowboys, I have my birthday, I'm talking about mixing and booing."
Public figures, here's the tip: Do not drink or drink. It usually does not end well.
