Fire, police and ambulance crews were on stage Tuesday afternoon after the person was "trapped" by the LRT train at Churchill.

In a tweet, Edmonton Transit Service has assured that there has been a "large" breakdown of LRT due to a track-level incident at the center of the Edmonton transit center. The bus service was arranged to run between LRT center and stadium stations.

Police spokeswoman Cheryl Voordenhout said a young man was hit by a train and the police saw the incident as criminal. The man was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Edmonton fire spokeswoman Suzzette Mellado said that six rescue crews were on the scene after receiving a call at 3:47 am that a person was "trapped by train" at the station.

She did not know how this person was imprisoned.
