What you should do
If you think you have been sick by consuming the remedy, call your doctor.
Make sure you've recalled your products in your house. Reported products should be discarded or returned to the shop where they were purchased.
Foods contaminated Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but it can make you even worse. Small children, pregnant women, elderly people and people with weakened immune systems can lead to serious and sometimes fatal infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
Background
This appeal was triggered by the findings of the Canadian Food Control Agency (CFIA) during the investigation of the incidence of foodborne illness. CFIA carries out a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, CFIA will inform the public through updated food alert warnings.
CFIA verifies that the industry removes the recalled product from the market.
