Suspended B.C. professor to go back to teaching, but says he still has to pay for it

The professor, who was suspended from the University of British Columbia after he opposed the publication of research in magazines that are not a peer review, will continue to work next month.

Professor Derek Pyne, of the University of Thompson Rivers, has questioned the practice of some professors who publish their work in so-called "Dravých časopisů" and say they continue across insufficient research.

Pyne was banned from the campus in May, and was on an unpaid pause for his feedback from colleagues who were considered employees at the University of Kamloops.

The university says it will return to business school and economics in January.

Pyne says he met the Director of Human Resources and the Dean this week, but some issues need to be resolved.

He says the university still owes his salary in two weeks' time, and his bond has filed a complaint in his favor.
