The police say the house in downtown St. John was shot last night, but no one was injured.
The Royal Newfoundland find arrived in full force with four different units responding to the shot fired. A better description of the location of the house was not released.
Shortly after arriving, the police say they were able to confirm that they "fired several shots".
The RNC Crime Unit investigates.
"This is believed to be a target act and members of the general public are not at risk," read the night report issued by the police.
