The Moncton incident sends 3 people to a hospital with injuries

Three people were sent to a hospital wounded after an incident in Moncton on Wednesday night.

Sergeant director Paul Bruens, with Moncton Fire Department, said the crews responded to the corner of Whitney and Argyle Street at about 10:30.

Bruens said that 11 people from the Moncton Fire Department and a few other first respondents were on the scene.

Bruens said the police are investigating the incident and do not know the nature of the injuries to the victims.

Nicole LeBlanc lives on Whitney Avenue, where she saw a heavy police presence near her home on Sunday.

"The neighbors were on their porch and trying to see what was going on," she said.

She said last night that the police tape was blocked, and the police are on the scene this morning.
