Following the auditing process on mobile portals that ran from November 2017 to May 2018, Subsecretariat of Telecommunications (Subtel) was able to detect certain abnormalities in mobile portability, especially those relating to the prepaid segment.
Before analyzing the research results, it was found that approximately 20% of the number carried out during the above-mentioned period showed no transfer or recharge after the portability.
Similarly, it could be found that 23,361 carriers are associated with a non-existent RUT (Ex: 1,111,111-1,2222,222-2, etc.), just as with other real ones that register between one and four thousand parts in the observed cycle . ,
Telecom deputy Pamela Gidi called for companies to "double their control and transparency procedures to have a clean portability process and not to create suspicions between the same companies," he said.
For this purpose, Subtel will ask the OAP for the meeting to obtain further information and request that the controls on the portals be tightened so as not to contain large volumes and erroneous data.
It should be noted that after the announcement of Subtel – in May this year – to begin the process of auditing the numbers delivered for portability, the number of portals was significantly reduced in the coming months.
