Chris Delattre, a French living in the Czech Republic, is behind the festival. "The Chocolate Festival is the biggest sweet event in the Czech Republic. This season takes place in sixteen cities, but it is the first time in Ústí nad Labem, "he calculates.
"We have about thirty exhibitors here. Visitors can also taste a very unconventional chocolate, such as pralines with pepper, rosemary or honey. The possibility of finding something new is a lot, "adds the organizer.
You can see a set of chocolates made from chocolate or a unique chocolate bake to taste: "It's a special Italian delicacy that comes from the Piemonte area," says salesman Andrej Pospíšil. and adds that the distinctive taste of this delicacy makes nuts and a special plate based on almond-lemon flour.
In the children's corner, children can try chocolate painting. In the accompanying program every hour the leading Czech chocolats and chefs with chocolate cook.
"Because this weekend is a tradition of St. Martin's goose, I asked for her to include our chef, who will prepare a goose with chocolate and oranges," Chris Delattre organizes the unusual culinary experience.
The festival takes place in a large hall of the Ústí House of Culture on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
