American scientists have conducted two large studies that have found that fish-derived medicines are effective in preventing heart attacks and strokes and other types of cardiovascular disease
Science Alert reports that more than 8,000 people participated in the first study. The participants were divided into two groups: the first group was omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish oil and the second placebo group.
The results showed that volunteers from the first group who suffer from heart problems are less willing to die of seizures and strokes.
The second study included 26,000 people. They were followed for an average of 5 years. Scientists have seen the effects of different types of omega-3 drugs.
Scientists, who consume less than one and a half servings of fish a week, have experienced a decrease in the number of heart attacks when using omega-3.
According to experts, fish oil medicines are safe, which means there are no reasons for patients taking them to stop.
Scientists have previously achieved the benefits of the main vegetables and fish from the heart. It has been shown that because of the accumulation of special substances in the blood called thiromylamine oxide, which are present in these substances, it protects the thickness of the walls of the vessels and the development of the enlargement of the heart.
