For several years, we have heard that the video game market with PC will die, but it is not. On the other hand, platforms like Steam, GOG or the newer Epic Games Store show that the market is very dynamic. Today, the study shows that 20 million PC players could go to television by 2022.
According to the analyst firm Jon Peddie Research, 20 million PC players could switch to the TV video game offer. Be careful not only to talk about consoles, because all this will necessarily include future offers in the Microsoft cloud and Google.
There are many reasons for this, but it is clear that strong consoles today compete with their mid-range computers in their specifications, as the stakes results are sufficient and lower in price. They are also on the TV screen carpet always stronger and exclusive console games, which are not necessarily found on the PC. Sony recently released details on PS5 specifications that show this console-to-PC alignment.
Finally, future streaming gaming platforms like Google Stadia or xCloud in Microsoft will also kick in the anthill. The hardware that will make the game change will be less determinant in the future playing our video games. However, Google recently said that its cloud offer will not compete with future high-end consoles such as the PS5 or Xbox Scarlett.
