A well-known futurist in the world of technology, Michael Ludden, an expert in artificial intelligence, arrives in Lithuania. 15th November The Baltic Mobile Congress, a virtual and expert on reality at the international conference on mobile economy in Vilnius, will tell you how our life will be replaced by a virtual and complemented reality. According to him, very interesting changes are waiting for us.
Muddy Ludden, a technology provider to IBM Watson, Samsung, Google, and others, says that today we meet artificial intelligence every day and will cover all our areas of life over the next five years.
You are co-authors of several books on transhumanism and supernatural reality. These publications will soon reach the bookstore. Who is most interested in today's technological innovation?
Today it is very interesting for me to monitor the effects of artificial intelligence on virtual and supplemented reality and how it will change the world in which we live, work and study. Today, imaging technology, a virtual and widespread reality, is applicable to education, sports, treatment and safety. That is why I am delighted to see unexpected areas of our lives in the coming decade to accept this technology and how it will change our everyday life.
Artificial intelligence has the ability to learn and improve. What, in your opinion, is the level he has achieved at this time?
I always say there are two ways to talk and evaluate artificial intelligence. Above all, there is a narrow artificial intelligence that performs very well certain things but can not by itself decide on independent study and development in other fields. For example, scientists can teach artificial intelligence to defeat the world's best player of Go strategy strategy, but this artificial intelligence never fails to love.
What is the second way?
It's a self-developed artificial intelligence that decides what you want to do. For example, he is good at playing chess, but he decides he wants to learn to draw, and that's what he does well. We currently have many examples of narrow artificial intelligence in the world, but we do not have any kind of yet. Unfortunately, we are still far from it and it is still difficult to predict when artificial intelligence will reach a higher level.
Skeptics are afraid that virtual reality will take away their work from people. Can it happen?
If we look at the story, we will see that people have always feared that technology will replace their work and take away their work. Conversely, experience shows that they help to work faster, more simply and more efficiently. Millions of years ago people built pyramids and stone wings and today builders can handle huge machines to make their work easier. With artificial intelligence, people will no longer need to enter data into Excel spreadsheets or perform other digital work that the device performs better. People will not leave, they simply will manage these processes.
What, in your opinion, can be expected from artificial intelligence after five years?
In a five-year perspective, there will be no area where artificial intelligence would not be used. Everything – from medicine to games, from business to marketing – will inevitably be influenced by artificial intelligence. I think it will not take five years for artificial intelligence to become a routine in our everyday life.
