Importing gasoline in the country is falling



This is the lowest recorded volume since 2016 and the first year-on-year decline recorded since 2013 when purchasing gasoline by volume

Import value gasoline in Mexico in the first quarter of 2019, it dropped to $ 3,000,743 million, down 12.4 percent, driven by a 7.9 percent drop in consumption.

The decline in the value of these imports is also due fall 17% at reference prices, which is approximately 30 cents per gallon in 2018 to 2019.

This is the lowest recorded volume since 2016 and the first year-on-year decline recorded since 2013 in the volume of gasoline purchases.

Pemex gasoline production declined by 2 percent over the course of one year, after which it was 188 thousand 818 barrels a day.

During the first quarter of 2019, the oil company reported a 10 percent drop in sales, down 356 thousand 251 million pesos, after a 16 percent drop in domestic sales.
