It was a flight to London from New Delhi. Arvind Kathpalia loses its license for three years due to an incident. He is not only a pilot but also a member of the board of directors of the airline. Kathpalia deals with general flight operations.
This is the second time Kathpalia gets into alcohol. In 2017, he was suspended for three months, supposedly due to rejection of breath tests.
Earlier this month, the Japanese airline pilot was caught too much alcohol. He had two bottles of wine and five cans of beer before flying from London to Tokyo.
Air carriers normally conduct global tests to combat alcohol use by the pilot.
