The flu waves in the Netherlands have not ended after ten weeks. According to Level Research, 94 out of 100,000 people with flu complaints went to the GP last week. A week ago was 101.
If more than 51 out of 100,000 people suffer from flu for two consecutive weeks, there is an epidemic.
All major doctors have seen many children and children with flu-like symptoms since mid-December.
The average flu epidemic lasts approximately 9 weeks in the Netherlands. Last year, flu waves lasted twice longer than normal.
