Whittaker has reached the top of New Zealand's most trusted brand list.
This is the eighth year in a row when the brand of chocolate has reached first place Reader overview list.
In second place was St John, followed by Tip Top.
Reader overview Australasian editor-in-chief Louise Waterson said that eight victories in a row is a record.

"Eight consecutive years is an amazing result and unprecedented throughout Australia."
Publicist publicist Sue Allen said Whittaker has a long history of brand loyalty.
"They are the owners of the Kiwi and hit the right buttons when it comes to doing the right thing when they paired up with Cadbury's rival, on issues like using palm oil."
Waterson said other New Zealand companies were also on the podium for many years in a row.
"Only the best brands can handle it. They talk very much about how real, authentic, reliable and consistent they are."
Examples include Dettol, Healtheries and AA Insurance which are nine-time winners in their respective categories; Resene is an eightfold winner.
Harcourts was the winner of all seven years, his category was included in the survey, and Ryman Healthcare scored top five years out of six in his sector. St John New Zealand, GJ Gardner, Yates, Schwarzkopf, Panadol, Sleepyhead, AMI, Cavalier Bremworth and Lockwood are examples of other repeated winners.
Some brands achieve more than one price each year.
Fisher & Paykel took over the laundry, large kitchen appliances and cooking appliances categories.
Reader overview A survey of trusted brands was conducted by Catalyst Research, which investigated a representative sample of 1,600 adults from New Zealand.
The list marks to be evaluated were created by asking New Zealand consumers for their most trusted brands. This was an unquestionable question in order to ensure that the top brands in each category were evaluated, as New Zealanders chose without prejudice.
