Epic games accused of not paying $ 187,000 for money

Many prize money players during the Australian Open Fortnite Battle Royale claimed that Epic Games were to hand over their winnings.

The Australian Open took place January 26 – 27, when players opposed each other in a solo tournament that offered a $ 500,000 prize pool – the largest ever offered in Australia's esports history.

One of the favorite favorites in the event, X2 Twins Jesse, came out on top in a solo tournament and received a $ 100,000 cash prize. However, other competitors insist that they cannot yet win the competition.

X2 Twins Jesse is widely regarded as one of the best players in Australia.

Epic games have reportedly not paid tournament winners

A player named ttvLeftRightGN has added a thread to Reddit
which suggests that he and the other players in the prize money tournament have not yet been paid.

According to the official tournament rules, Epic Games intend to pay out the winner within 90 days, and players are invited to contact if they are not paid after such a period. Reddit post claims:

"It's been 3 months since the end of the event (90 DAYS). There are about 20 people who weren't paid with a total earnings of over $ 100,000, as shown in the quick list we tried to get together for someone on the epic. But we have all been largely ignored when trying to contact, here are just a few pictures of what happened as evidence. "

The player points out that Epic Games were reportedly responsible for prize money.

However, some players claim they received a statement from Epic stating that the developer was not associated with the tournament, although it was t advertised on their social media channels.

Answer Epic denies being involved in organizing / sponsoring the tournament.

The user said that the players are owed $ 187,000 AUD from Epic Games, players like Araki and Naapr who finished second and third, but have not yet been rewarded with their earnings.

Here was a complete list of players and their amount they think is owed.

Epic does not show any official accusations of the official announcement, as their main goal is currently the Fortnite World Cup solo qualification.
