Dakar, November 28 (APS) – The Socialist and Democratic Front of National Resistance (FRN, opposition) confirmed on Wednesday, Thursday, Thursday, the confirmation of a "big march" that planned to organize, demand control of the electoral register and denounce the system of sponsoring candidates for the presidential election on February 24.
Members of the front, composed of opposition parties, said during a press briefing that the march would take place between Obelisk Square and Senegal Radio (RTS, public).
"We can ask for an election record whenever necessary, it is our right, and we also believe that the sponsorship system is not lawful," said Oumar Sarr, National Coordinator of the Democratic Senegal Party (PDS).
The law "must be respected," he said, adding, "We will fight for it."
He said that "there will be a lot of banners while walking", on which the "all claims" of the opposition will be written.
"We want the law to be respected, the electoral commission is constantly evolving without being able to control it, and we will ensure tomorrow and all the time before the presidential election," added Bruno d'Erneville, leader of the Civil Action Party (PAC) and queue member.
Members of the Social Democratic Front of National Resistance also condemned the bill on electronic communications, which is currently being considered by the National Assembly. They want Members to reject this bill.
