VACCINATE, MOVE! Small teat epidemic WE PREPARE FOR SERBIA!

From October to October this year, 5,752 people were affected in our country, 15 of whom died of brain inflammation and lung failure, the worst complications of this disease. Epediatrician Zoran Radovanovic says that, despite the fact that the epidemic is not morbid in the winter, it is not expected that it would be massive for anyone to be vaccinated to be obliged to!

"Batut": More vaccinated

According to the Institute of Public Health "Dr. Milan Jovanovic Batut", the coverage of the MRD vaccination in Serbia in 2017 was 85.2% and the revaccination was 91.6. For the first six months of 2018, the number of vaccinated children in the second year of life was 52.9%, which is 18.3% more than in the same period last year, when it was only 34.6%.

– The solution to the problem is in the vaccination and we should not consider whether the number of patients in the period ahead will be smaller, but we should focus on its eradication. And we can not do this until 95 percent of pre-school children are vaccinated! Epidemics always move from them, because the rest of the population is already protected by incomplete immunization, or the disease is already recorded. The area for epidemic development is precisely because some parents still refuse to vaccinate their children. The scope of vaccination is, of course, much higher than last year, but it is still inadequate to be carefree when it comes to morbils. However, the fact that the number of immunized vaccines is increasing every day is encouraging, and therefore the optimism that the number of patients who suffer this year will be much lower than last year – emphasizes Radovanovic.

MALE BOGINJE WE PREPARE PŘIJÍMOUT! Doctors warn against spreading the epidemic

And infectious scientist Žarko Ranković says that the number of vaccinated children means that the number of patients will be lower.

– The fact is that more and more parents vaccinate their children, and therefore we hope that the epidemic will have to be less than last year. And we also hope that this disease will not be dead as it has been in the last 12 months – she says.
