Newcastle United completed the signature of Miguel Almiron from the main league of the Atlanta United football side.
A 24-year-old member joins Magpies for five and a half years in a store that will see him stay in St James's Park until 2024.
Almirón played twice in the MLS All-Star team and was selected in MLS Best XI at the end of both seasons with a Georgian club.
He will wear the number 24 for Magpies.
"I am very happy and eager to start and meet my new teammates," said Almiron NUFC TV. "The league is very competitive, it is a historic club and Rafa Benitez himself was the main reasons why I'm here now.
"I think it's a great responsibility, something nice for me, and I'll try to offer the best I can to make the trust the club gives me."
