England's Newcastle United football team is taking part in its ranks of Paraguayan Miguel Almiron.
Thirty-five-year-old offensive midfielder will be transferred to "The Magpies" from the club's official Major League Soccer (MLS) Atlanty United.
The transfer amount for his services should be around £ 21m, a new club record. The South American has already undergone a medical examination in Newcastle and is only waiting for the official announcement of the club. The information was provided by the Sky Sports channel.
Almiron has played 62 league matches behind Atlanta since 2017, scoring 21 goals, and enjoying the title of the top US football competition in the past year. Newcastle, which is also home to Slovak goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka, is particularly helpful in offensive activities.
