TREBIŠOV. In the district of Třebíč, the number of illnesses for measles has increased again; the Public Health Service has reported 33 cases.
Most, sixteen patients are in Sečovce and Parchovany, where they are nine.
Three cases are in Trebišov and Hrčeľ and one case in the villages of Plechotice and Kravany, the spokeswoman of the Office of Public Health (ÚVZ) SR Daša Račková informed.
The number of diseases in the district has increased since September.
"The Regional Public Health Authority, based in Trebišov, has secured anti-epidemic measures in outbreaks in cooperation with health care providers, school facilities and field assistants," the spokesman said.
Most sick are among the children
Diseases concern in particular people living in poor hygiene conditions.
Most cases are reported in children who have not yet reached the required age for compulsory measles vaccination.
The epidemiological inquiry continues.
Altogether, 37 cases of measles have been reported in Trebišovská district.
The previous measles epidemic in the districts of Michalovce and Sobrance was terminated, the last illness recorded on September 20, 2018.
