Rare Linnaeus portrait in Sweden

A rare portrait of the famous scientist Carl von Linne has long been in England in Sweden. The University Library in Uppsala, which bought a job at an auction, plans to showcase this summer to the public.

Portrait of Carl von Linne, Lavering by artist Jean Eric Rehn.picture: He struck Jean Eric Rehn

The portrait is portrayed by artist Jean Rehn sometime around 1750 and features Carl von Linne with wig and wax, a pipe of smokers. The drawing was a long English nobleman and was probably inherited for several generations, but when the last owner of Duke Roxburg died in 2014, it was sold in the auction house of Sotheby.
