ŽENEVA / Kampala. Life threatening the Ebola virus is spreading further in the Congo in Central Africa and the neighboring countries are concerned. In Uganda, 1600 helpers are vaccinated at medical centers along the border, and Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng said on weekend.
Ebola suspected cases have already been reported from southern Sudan, Uganda and even Yemen, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). But by no means it was actually an Ebola infection.
At the border posts in Congo, nearly 12 million people were tested on Ebola stamps. There were 14 suspected cases, one of which was a virus.
According to the Congolese Ministry of Health, from the beginning of August to the end of October, 250 people were confidently infected and another 35 probably with the Ebola virus. 81 patients recovered, 180 patients died.
WHO is concerned about the increasing number of Congo cases. WHO boss Adhan Ghebreyesus travels to Congo this week. He is also accompanied by UN peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix. (AP)
