Apple has a list of products that it classifies as “old or obsolete” and other “obsolete.” According to Apple, “old” products are those that have not been manufactured for more than 5 years and less than 7 years. On the other hand, “Obsolete” products are those that were discontinued more than 7 years ago.
Perhaps the big difference is that old products receive hardware services from Apple, while obsolete products have no support at all.
Apple regularly updates this list to list 40 “obsolete” iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks that are down as follows:
