Mohammed Salah (Ras Al Khaimah)
The Criminal Tribunal in Ras Al Khaimah yesterday, led by counselor Shameh Shakere, sentenced a former employee in Ras Al Khaimah and the sixth indictment in the case of public finance damage, who served as a mediator for ten years in both sides and accused six people. The second defendant was sentenced to three years in prison, and the fourth and fifth defendants were sentenced to one year in prison. The court accused the defendants of returning two million and 400,000 dirhams and a similar fine.
The defendants, according to case documents, were able to obtain government funds by renting a block of flats and rented it to the investor as a hotel apartment. The hotel work license was issued by the body authorized to issue these licenses. Public money is represented by the fact that an entity is not entitled to rent a hotel during the years of the license and the amount listed above.
The third defendant was exempted from the case, the role of which was restricted to the issue of the building permit.
The lawyer of the third defendant relied on an exemption from all the accusations that he had been charged for not having been associated with the incident and that his acquisition fell within the competence of his employment and after completion of the construction according to the required requirements. The court also ruled out the removal of all the accused from their work in the area, Punishment.
