According to itc.ua, new technical data on the new product is not yet available, but because it will be built on its own modular MEB platform, we can expect the speed and performance indicators to be at the level of other VW ID's new VW models. Like its predecessors model id. BUGGY is remarkable due to lack of roof and door, as well as significant off-road capabilities.

The creators of the electric VW ID. BUGGY was inspired by classic American beach strollers from the 1960s and 1970s that used the Volkswagen Beetle units as a base. Judging by the pictures, they managed to maintain a very young style, bringing the design of modern "electric" elements.

With this model, Volkswagen wants to demonstrate that thanks to its modularity and flexibility, the MEB platform is suitable not only for tedious standard production models but also for more interesting and unusual electric cars.

Note that the conversion of Volkswagen Beetle to US strollers was not only done by model models but also by several companies at the same time, including Hebmuller, Rometsch, Meyers Manx. As a result, around 250,000 such strollers were marketed during the 1960s and 1980s.
