One person died after being hit by a train at London's South East Railway Station.
The police were called at Welling Station in Bexley on Wednesday at 11:30.
Paramedics and air ambulances were also mixed, but the person was pronounced dead on the spot.
A spokesman for the British Traffic Police said: "Officers are currently trying to identify and determine the circumstances of their death."
Southeastern said all the lines that were going through the station were closed while the rescue services were involved in the incident.
Barnehurst and Blackheath disruption was expected at least before 4:30 pm.
"Trains are not able to run between Barnehurst and Blackheath while emergency services are involved in the incident," the spokesman said.
"If possible, trains will be redirected to alternative routes and can be canceled in a short time.
"The trains between Gravesend and Victoria will be diverted to pass through the Sidcup line and call at all stations."
The operator added that tickets would be accepted on London buses, London Underground and DLR services on reasonable routes.
