Chicago Attorney General Kim Foxx, according to The Chicago-Sun Times, was summoned to negotiate with Jussie Smollett on Friday.

Brien asked Foxx, Magats, and Smollett to produce original documents in criminal proceedings to reassure the public that "they have not been altered or destroyed, and will not be destroyed in this case," says the Sun-Times report.
An application for a special prosecutor stated that Foxx was dealing with the "irregularity" case.

Brien argues that Foxx, who was informally reciting from a case due to contact with a relative Smollett during the investigation, was to appoint a special prosecutor.
