DJI's Osmo Pocket is a small handheld cardan that shoots 4K shots

The latest DJI product, Osmo Pocket, is the smallest hand stabilizer made by the drone / camera manufacturer. It takes a lot of things that Chinese society did really well and puts it in an impressively small shape. It is designed to offer shots similar to a drone in size that is comparable to GoPro (although it can not have the same wear). The Osmo Bag costs $ 349 and ships on December 15th.

The Osmo pouch is only four centimeters high. When you turn it off, the cardan hinge tilts the camera to the end so that the whole system can fit into a small case that easily slip into your pocket – hence the name.

Instead of using a large Zenmuse camera that is located on the original eight or as a smartphone like the Osmo Mobile camera, the pocket pocket lends more of the camera and the techno gimbal has been found on smaller drones by companies such as Mavic Air.

The camera that sits on the triangle cardan arm uses a 1 / 2.3-inch sensor and captures 4K of up to 60 frames per second at 100Mbps. The DJI says the Osmo pocket will take up to two hours when shooting at 4K with a slightly lower frame rate of 30 fps. Osmo Pocket also captures 12 megapixel stills and has two microphones for recording sound.

Osmo's pocket is a small touch screen with a diagonal 1 inch, where users can capture an image or switch settings. It's a bit difficult to do in hand, but users can also connect their iPhone or Android phone (provided they have a USB-C port) into the modular port on the side of the Osmo pocket for a larger viewing screen and more granular controls through a new company application. While it may be smaller than the previous DJI stabilizers, Osmo Pocket still offers some advanced company shooting modes such as object tracking, face tracking, timeout and automatic panorama.

DJI also plans to sell a range of accessories for the Osmo pocket. There is a mount that allows users to connect GoPro-like things, as well as a Wi-Fi driver, ND filter kit, waterproof case, extension rod, and 3.5mm adapter for external microphones. A briefcase with a battery that can recharge the Osmo storage pocket soon will also appear.
