Late in the first half of Game 1 of the Western semifinal series between Portland and Denver, Jamal Murray flicked the hell of an invasion to pass and ripped his ass on the other side, in a two-to-two break with teammate Malik Beasley splashing in front of him. With two qualified and athletic guards moving forward, and only a relatively tiny Damian Lillard and Oafish Enes Kanter in defense, this should be a very convenient setting for the Nuggets. Until!
In Beasley's defense, he moved from a dead sprint to a sloping back pedal and watched two defenders, and a striped teammate was what would explode in a cloud of bloody bone shrapnel. Murray also chuckled a laugh that, in addition to catching the ball outside the boundaries, decided to follow Beasley's steps exactly, pushing Beasley to get out of hell before his teammate slipped into his back. Just a truly clever and stupid opportunity to move, guys.
