As part of the extension, iPhone and "Most Android devices" will be compatible with Google services. This includes direct pricing of $ 20 for unlimited calls and text, and $ 10 for GB of up to 6 GB of data. (It's free after that, but the speed is sharply down to 15GB). It also includes international data coverage in 170 countries, spam protection and many other features offered by the service.
Google warns that while it extends its support, not all phones get all the benefits of Google Fi. IPhone experience is still in beta and will require additional setup steps. Some features of the service, including the possibility of a seamless reflection between multiple mobile networks, will only be available for Fi phones. This includes Pixel 3, 3 XL, 2 XL, Moto G6, LG G7, LG V35 and Moto X – available directly through the Google Fi website. Google has not explained exactly how phones that are not compatible with network switching functionality will use Fi, but the company is likely to be able to provide reliable services without it.
