US Vice President Mike Pence thanked the Pharmaceutical Control Authority (DEA) on Thursday for an investigation in Venezuela that pointed out Nicolás Maduro.
"DEA investigations point directly to the dictatorship of Nicolás Madura and help arrest several of his relatives and people close to him on charges of drug trafficking," Pence said.
The US official said the department's contributions "strengthened" citizens in support of interim President Juan Guaidó. "There is freedom in Venezuela," he said.
