Seitanian sailors are in the final stage of completing the Tampa Bay trade involving Mike Zunin, the Seattle Times reported.
Seattle would send Zunino and partner Guillermo Heredia to Tampa Bay for 25-year-old Mallas Smith, according to a report indicating that both sides have agreed since last week.
It is not immediately clear whether the agreement would be extended to more players.
Zunino, which receives 28 points in March, reached only .201 in the last season, but his 20 homers took fifth place in 373 rivals.
The receiver had a solid defensive performance with 12 savings saved in defense in 2018, which placed him first among all rescuers and helped him win the Wilson Defensive Year of the Year in his position.
Tampa Bay, who negotiated the All-Star catcher Wilson Ramos just finished the season, with only two players in his list of 40 players, Nick Ciuffo and Michael Perez, who only appeared in 40 games in big combinations.
Heredia, 27, was the fourth winner in Seattle in the last two seasons. In 125 matches in 2018 hit .236 with five guests, 19 RBIs and 29 runs.

Smith was one of several surprise rays in 2018 when he hit .296 with 65 bets and 40 RBIs first in a row.
Negotiation reports came after Yahoo Sports announced this week that Seattle was considering an overall change in this offseason, but Jerry DiPoto tried to minimize this theory at General Manager meetings this week in California.
"The best way to evaluate is that it was clearly overwhelmed," Dipoto told MLB.com, referring to Yahoo. "We are open to various ways to improve, but what we hope to achieve is to re-compile our list to see what our fastest way to become a championship club.
"We know what Astros, Red Sox, Athletics, Yankees and Indians are." We do not want to be a non-runner for the second wildcard, "concluded Dipoto.
