Cassava Smartech launched Enda Education Cover product cover.
Enda Education is provided by Econet Life, an insurance firm of Cassava Smartech.
The product offers fees for school fees for primary and secondary education in the event of the death of the family's breadwinner or the student's legal representative.
On Wednesday, Professor Amon Murwira, with Professor Amon Murwira, launched Enda Education Cover, "there is no excuse for any child to leave school if their parent or guardian passes.
"Our government's vision is to see how our companies use technology to ensure that Zimbabwe gains the best of its assets," said prof. Murwira.
He added that financial support is one of the pillars of education.
Cassava Smartech CEO Eddie Chibi said he was delighted with the opportunity "to become a good practice" and to contribute to the 4th SDG, which is to ensure inclusive and equal educational and educational opportunities for Everything.
"Today we are launching the Enda Education Cover, which is fully aware that of the 5.8 million students enrolled in primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe, it is estimated that 80 percent of those dropping out of school are doing so because of the death of a parent or guardian, "Mr. Chibi said.
"And so we could not just sit back and watch the children who are the future of our nation leave school, which is why we introduced the Enda Education Cover," said Mr. Chibi.
He added that Cassava Smartech's mandate was to implement digital solutions to improve people's quality of life.
When describing an educational product, Mr Chibi said in the event of the death of his or her parents or legal guardian, Enda Education would assume responsibility for paying the school fees, uniforms and stationery depending on the package selected.
He said the premium would range from just $ 2.50 a month, for each child – with a payout of up to $ 3,000 per semester.
"There is a guaranteed money-back guarantee that corresponds to twelve-month premiums after five years of continuous contributions if no claim has been made during that period." There is also a $ 500 funeral contribution if the child or parents go to insurance, "said Mr. Chibi.
He explained that the administration request for the Enda Education Cover should be awarded by EcoSure, with school fees paid directly to a school run by the Higher Life Foundation.
The Higher Life Foundation is an Econet Wireless social investment group that over the years has provided access to education for more than 250,000 orphaned and vulnerable children and academic support for highly talented and talented students through Capernaum and Joshua Nkomo scholarships.
Cassava Smartech, which announced Zimbabwean listing plans, has made strong advances in technology use to successfully deploy innovative insurance products that support financial inclusion.
These include EcoSure funeral wrappings and Ecosure Moovah motorcycle covers.
